Wear plate and sliding components for steel mill service

HALDEN H-600 Steel Mill Plate is designed for steel plant applications such as slide plates, guide blocks, side guide plates and rolling mill equipment wear components. It can be supplied according to drawings with machining, holes, bevels and assembly requirements.

Unlike typical CCO liner applications, many steel mill parts require a practical balance of hardness, toughness, fit, heat exposure and sliding performance. HALDEN can review the original part design and recommend a suitable material or fabricated replacement.

When to choose H-600

Condition H-600 suitability Recommendation
General chute abrasion Not the first choice Use H-100 or H-200 CCO plate.
Powder or sticky material Not the first choice Consider H-300 Smooth Surface CCO Plate.
High-temperature abrasive flow Needs review Consider H-400 High Temperature Plate.
Heavy impact plus abrasion Needs review Consider H-500 Impact Resistant Plate.
Steel mill sliding and guide wear Good fit Use H-600 according to drawing and equipment position.
