Smooth CCO Plate

HALDEN smooth surface CCO plate is manufactured using advanced fusion bond submerged arc welding technology to apply a highly abrasion-resistant chromium carbide layer onto a steel substrate. The result is a smooth overlay deposit with consistent chemistry and a stable microstructure, making it suitable for severe abrasive wear and impact applications.

This product is commonly known in the market as chromium carbide overlay plate, or CCO plate. The final wear performance depends on the material striking or sliding across the wear surface, the angle and speed of impact, and the operating temperature of the application.

Smooth Surface CCO Plate for Severe Abrasion

Smooth CCO plate is designed for wear applications where severe abrasion, sliding wear, and impact are present. Its chromium carbide overlay layer provides a hard wear surface, while the steel substrate maintains practical fabrication support and structural integrity.

The smooth overlay finish also helps in applications where surface behavior, lower friction, and more controlled material flow are important.

Performance Depends on Real Working Conditions

The best hardfaced solution depends on the actual service environment. Wear performance is influenced by whether rock, sand, gravel, or another abrasive medium strikes or slides across the surface, as well as by impact angle, material velocity, and temperature.
