Product Overview

The General Laser Hardening Equipment is designed for precision surface hardening of metal parts.
Laser hardening heats the material surface above the austenite transformation point and then relies on the material’s own rapid cooling
to form martensite, creating a hardened surface layer.

Compared with conventional hardening methods, this process offers high power density, fast cooling speed,
no need for water or oil quenching media, and better suitability for automated production.

Laser hardening provides high power density and fast self-cooling without requiring water or oil quenching media.

Higher Hardness, Lower Distortion

The hardened layer is more uniform, hardness is typically higher than induction hardening, and workpiece deformation is minimal.

The demonstrated system uses a 6-axis KUKA robot and a 3000W Laserline diode laser for automated industrial processing.

Adjustable Spot Size

The hardening head supports adjustable spot size from 3.5 mm × 3.5 mm to 21 mm × 21 mm for flexible process matching.

Uniform Rectangular Beam Shaping

The Laserline AutoZoom module provides a uniform rectangular spot and motorized optical adjustment.

Closed-Loop Temperature Control

A two-color infrared pyrometer and LASCON® software help stabilize process temperature in real time.
