High Temperature Resistant Overlay Plate
HALDEN high temperature resistant overlay plates are chromium carbide overlay wear plates designed for severe abrasion, elevated temperature service, and heavy industrial wear protection. With special alloy elements, the overlay layer can support high-temperature applications up to approximately 900°C.
Overlay Wear Plate for Heat, Abrasion and Heavy Industry
High temperature resistant overlay plate is a bimetallic wear plate produced by depositing a chromium carbide hardfacing layer onto a medium or low carbon steel base plate. The base plate provides weldability and structural support, while the overlay layer provides high wear resistance.
HALDEN overlay plates are designed with a carbide-rich microstructure. The volume fraction of Cr7C3 carbide in the wear-resistant layer can be more than 50%, helping the plate resist severe abrasive wear in cement, mining, power, steel, coal, paper, and bulk material handling applications.
Compared with ordinary wear plate, high temperature resistant chromium carbide overlay plate is especially useful where abrasive particles, hot material flow, thermal service conditions, and long maintenance intervals are critical concerns.
